Welcome, Willkommen, Hoş geldiniz!

We are Franziska and Ron, we’ve been running Dönerländ since 2015. Ron is from San Francisco and he’s in charge of taking the orders, running the business side and taking care of all technical issues like broken ovens, electrical. Basically he’s building and fixing things, making sure nothing falls apart.

Franziska, a German native, grew up with Döner Kebab in her hometown Karlsruhe. At 19, she decided to become a chef. After her apprenticeship she worked all over the world and finally her home became Ron and together they moved to Portland.

What we do: we make the flatbread fresh daily inside our food cart with Bob’s Red Mill artisan bread flour. We make the meat cones weekly by hand, alternating seasoned meat and ground meat and then we freeze the spits. We make the yogurt from milk and cultures because it just tastes great! (Follow the links for some great products, they’re no affiliate links, we just like sharing). We pickle the cabbage and we buy organic and/or local whenever possible.
